Stitch 'n Pitch. Everybody had a fantastic time, and the Purls Tucson goodie bag was filled with lots
of great items. We would like to thank Southwest Trading Co., Shaefer Yarns, Plymouth Yarns, Skacel, Fiber Trends, Good
Stuff, Soak, Tutto-Opal..and, of course, Purls Tucson, for all the wonderful donations. We hope that you will continue
to support these vendors at our store. We started calling the freebies a DAMN GOODie bag. Join in on the fun next
year!
The Habu Trunk Show and Habu Workshops will
be here next month, and there will be workshops with Takako. Look for these fabulous kits to be in the store near the end
of October. Definite dates will be announced in the October newsletter.
We are adding classes for 'last minute holiday gifts'. First
up is a class on knitted/beaded ornaments, scheduled in September, October, & November. Next will be a class on knitting
napkin rings with wire and beads...great for hostess gifts...look for this class in November. Other great gift ideas would
be a vest, felted clogs, or perhaps a felted, or mosaic, scarf. A lot of us are making a super easy "top down" jacket, done
with bulky yarn, on size 10 needles...this is so fast, it can be done in one week, or less.
BUTTONS, BUTTONS, BUTTONS! Did we mention buttons? Come in to
check out our ever expanding selection of buttons. We are getting a big shipment in the first week of September, and another
shipment of new buttons in October. Buttonalicious!!
We will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September
1st. Classes are cancelled, and no private lessons will be held, but be sure to stop in and say hi!
